This Canada Day I had the honour of celebrating our great country alongside many of you at Bronte Harbour. It was great to see so many friends and neighbours, to celebrate with you and a special congratulations to the children who took part in this year’s scavenger hunt. While we celebrated Canada, our government brought in an additional measure this Canada Day. The middle-class tax cut will save two-income families up to $825 a year, by reducing the marginal tax rate on the lowest tax bracket by 1 percentage point. More than 22 million Canadians will benefit directly from this tax cut, and middle- and low-income Canadians will benefit the most.
